Hello subscribers,

today I present you a report about a commodity that many analysts haven’t even on their watchlist. This week’s Member Report is about the one oil that every one of us uses every day - Soybean Oil.

Quick facts about Soybean Oil

Soybean Oil is (of course) made of Soybeans. When a bushel of soybeans weighing 60 pounds is crushed, the conventional result is 11 pounds of soybean oil (18%), 44 pounds of soybean meal (73%), four pounds of hulls (7%), and one pound of waste (2%).

Usage of Soybean Oil:

  • 68% Food (like for frying, baking food or salad cremes)

  • 25% Biodiesel/Biofuel (most important aspect right now IMO)

  • 7% Industrial Use (like paints, plastics)

    consumption of soybean oil worldwide
